Editorial policy
Honest Theatre Guide aims to be clear about what we know, what we are suggesting and where an idea has limits. We write for general readers and treat theatre-making as a craft with many workable approaches.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual claims before publication and use careful wording when practices vary across groups, spaces or traditions. Articles distinguish an explanation from an opinion or an exercise to try. We do not present a single method as universal, and we avoid claims that need evidence we cannot support.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a partnership. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial content. A placement does not guarantee coverage or a favourable view.
Corrections and illustrations
If something is inaccurate or unclear, readers can contact us through the Contact page. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making significant changes clear where appropriate. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; we identify them where they appear and do not use them as evidence of real performances or people.
